What the Recap tab shows in ConnectWise Company Finance: billing totals, hours by member, and agreement gross profit, broken down by period.

Company Finance Recap Tab

The Recap tab shows all financial activity for a company across four time periods: This Year MTD, Last Year Month, This Year YTD, and Last Year Total.

Billing

FieldDescription
InvoicesTotal of all invoices dated within the period.
Credit MemosTotal of all credit memos dated within the period.
TotalSum of invoices and credit memos for the period.
Billed HoursHours that appeared on invoices dated within the period.
Non-billed Agreement HoursBillable time entries submitted, approved, and in Billed-Agr status — ready to bill but not yet invoiced.
WIP HoursHours in a ready-to-bill status for the period.
Unapproved HoursHours not yet approved for the period.
Non-billable HoursHours marked non-billable, regardless of where they were charged.
Written-off HoursHours written off automatically via Billing Setup or manually in the Invoice Wizard or the company Time tab.
Total HoursAll hours entered against the company for the period.
Billed ExpensesInvoiced expense amount for the period.
Billed ProductsInvoiced product amount for the period.
Employee CostCost for actual hours in the period. Actual hours include time entries in Billed, Billed-Agr, and Written Off statuses — both invoiced and non-invoiced.
Expense CostCost of expenses invoiced for the period.
Product CostCost of products invoiced for the period.
Total CostSum of Employee Cost, Product Cost, and Expense Cost.
Gross ProfitCalculated as Total − Sales Cost − Total Cost.
%Gross Profit Percentage: (Revenue − Cost) ÷ Revenue.

Note: For a more detailed breakdown (excluding agreements), run the Gross Profit by Company report. Go to Other > Reports and open the report, then select Help on the toolbar.

Hours by Member

Lists every member who logged time against this company, with the hours they entered.

Agreements

FieldDescription
RevenueTotal billing amount for agreements.
CostCost of time, expenses, and products entered against the agreement. For time costs to populate, enter the Hourly Cost on each member record in Member Maintenance before time is entered.
Gross ProfitCalculated as Revenue − Cost.
%Gross Profit Percentage: (Revenue − Cost) ÷ Revenue.

Note: Year-to-date figures are driven by calendar year, not fiscal year.

For a detailed agreement-level breakdown, run the Agreement Gross Profit report. Go to Other > Reports and open the report, then select Help on the toolbar.
