Company Finance Sales Order Tab
The Sales Order tab in Company Finance lists all sales orders for that company. From here you can create new orders, open existing ones, and update their status without leaving the company record.
After you save a sales order, two additional tabs become available on the order itself: Products and Documents.
Actions available on the Sales Order tab
- Create a new sales order — Select New in the toolbar.
- Open a sales order — Select the sales order number link.
- View the originating opportunity — If the order was created from an opportunity, select the Opportunity Summary link.
- Update a sales order status — Right-click a status in the list view to change it.
Sales order statuses
Assigning a status to a sales order lets you automate notifications through the Sales Order Status setup table. Typical statuses include New, In Progress, Waiting on Deposit, Back Ordered, and Complete — configure these to match your workflow.
Creating a sales order from an opportunity
You can also create sales orders directly from the Opportunity screen. ConnectWise copies the opportunity’s products, notes, and documents into the new order automatically.
