Company Finance Team Tab
The Team tab on a company’s Finance record lets you assign members and contacts to named roles. Those roles control who gets notified by status workflows and workflow rules — and which names appear under Internal Analysis on service tickets.
Assign a member or contact to a role
- In the Team tab toolbar, select New.
- Optionally, select a Location (leave blank to apply to all locations).
- Optionally, select a Department other than “All.”
- Select a Team Role from the drop-down. Roles are defined in the Team Role Setup Table.
- Use the picker to select a Member or a Contact — completing one field disables the other.
- Select Save and Close.
Note: If Location and Department are set, the member or contact only appears in the Other (Team Tab) picker on ticket templates when those values match the service board’s location and department. If there’s a mismatch, they won’t show up.
To assign the same role across multiple companies at once, use Company Mass Maintenance instead of editing each company record individually.
System roles
ConnectWise maps four built-in system roles to notification tokens you can use in status and general workflows:
- Account Manager
- Account Tech (also called Technical Contact)
- Sales Originator (also called Sales Rep)
- Other — catches every team role not mapped to one of the three above
You can remap these to custom role names in the Team Role Setup Table, or override the mappings on the Owner tab of the My Company screen.
Note: Account Manager and Account Tech appear on service tickets under Internal Analysis.
Team tab columns
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| First Name / Last Name | The member or contact. Select either name to edit the role assignment. |
| The member or contact’s email address. | |
| Role | The assigned team role. |
| Location | The location the assignment is scoped to. |
| Department | The department the assignment is scoped to. |
Role icons
ConnectWise distinguishes member assignments from contact assignments with icons in the Team tab list view. The icons aren’t labeled — a member icon looks different from a contact icon, but their meaning is only documented in the ConnectWise UI itself.
