View, filter, and manage time entries for a company in ConnectWise Manage — including reassigning agreements and writing off unbillable time.

Company Finance Time Tab

The Time tab in Company Finance lists every time entry logged against the selected company. Use it to audit billable hours, spot entries on the wrong agreement, or write off time that won’t be invoiced.

Column reference

Member NameThe member who created the entry. Select the name to open the time entry.
DateDate the time entry was created.
BillBillable type: B (Billable), NB (Do Not Bill), NC (No Charge).
RateHourly rate based on the work role and work type.
WIP HrsHours on the time entry.
WIP AmtWIP Hrs × Rate.
Inv HrsHours that will appear on the invoice.
Inv AmtInv Hrs × Rate.
StatusCurrent status of the time entry.
LocationLocation selected on the time entry.
Billing UnitDepartment or group on the time entry.
Service IDTicket number the entry is logged against.
Ticket StatusStatus of the associated ticket.
Invoice NbrInvoice number linked to the time entry (if invoiced).
AgreementAgreement selected on the time entry.

Use the filter controls at the top of the list to narrow entries by date range, status, member, or other fields.

Note: Time RecId is a legacy column, hidden by default. You can ignore it.

Reassign time entries to a different agreement

Use Update Agreement when time entries are sitting on the wrong agreement — for example, after a ticket was logged against a project instead of a managed services agreement.

  1. Go to Finance > Company Finance.
  2. Search for and select the company.
  3. Select the Time tab.
  4. Select one or more time entries you want to move.
  5. Select Actions > Update Agreement.
  6. In the Update Agreement dialog, choose the target agreement.
  7. Select OK.

Write off time entries

If a time entry is set to Do Not Bill and your billing options exclude Do Not Bill entries, ConnectWise’s overnight task automatically sets those entries to Written Off. You can also write off entries manually from the Invoicing screen.

Writing off removes the entry from the invoice and from the Invoicing screen.

  1. Go to Finance > Invoicing.
  2. Enter the Company Name and select Search.
  3. Select the company to view details.
  4. Select the member whose time you want to write off.
  5. Select Write Off on the toolbar.
  6. Select YES.

Reverse a write-off

If you wrote off time and later need to bill for it, you can unwrite it off from the Time tab.

  1. Go to Finance > Company Finance.
  2. Search for and select the company.
  3. Select the Time tab.
  4. In the Status filter, choose Written Off.
  5. Select the time entry to reverse.
  6. Select Unwrite Off on the toolbar.
  7. Select YES.
