Standard invoice layout
The standard ConnectWise Manage invoice includes the following sections:
- Invoice Number — The unique identifier for this invoice.
- Due Date — Calculated from the invoice date plus your billing terms. Billing terms are set on the Company Finance tab and configured in the Billing Terms Setup Table.
- Billable Time & Materials Services — Summary-level grouping of service entries by work role, type, and staff member.
- Non-Billable Time & Materials Services — Services performed at no charge or gratis.
- Agreement Billable Time — Summary-level view of services covered by a service contract, grouped by contract name.
- Other Charges / Product Changes — Products used during the service process.
- Adjustment — Time covered by an agreement, shown in hours, dollar amount, or incidents depending on your contract type.
- Payments — Payments applied to the invoice manually via the credits and payments pod or synced from your accounting package.
- Credits — Credit memo amounts applied to this invoice via the credits and payments pod.
Note: The layout of the invoice is controlled by the Invoice Template Setup Table. If sections are missing or displaying incorrectly, check your template configuration there.
Invoice with agreement coverage and overages
When a single invoice includes both agreement-covered time and billable time and materials (overages or excluded time), the output breaks down as follows:
- Billable Services — All time entries without an agreement attached, broken out by work role and work type.
- Agreement Billable Time — All time entries with an agreement selected, broken out by work role and work type. Where the same work role and work type has both covered and overage hours, the line displays as:
- Hours: covered hours / overage hours
- Rate: covered rate / overage rate
- Amount: total billed for all hours
- Adjustments — The hours or dollar value offset by agreement coverage, shown depending on whether the agreement is hours-based or amount-based.
