How to use the Time tab in ConnectWise Manage Invoicing — view unbilled time entries, create invoices, write off hours, and update agreements or billing rates.

ConnectWise Invoicing Time Tab

The Time tab in Invoicing lists all uninvoiced time entries for the selected company. Every row here is billable work that hasn’t been invoiced yet.

Toolbar actions

Select one or more time entries, then open the Actions drop-down to apply a bulk action:

Note: Updating an agreement also updates the time entry with the new agreement’s defaults — including rates and billing type.

Column reference

ColumnWhat it shows
MemberThe member who logged the time. Select the name to open the time entry detail.
DateThe date the time entry was recorded.
BillBilling status: B (Billable), NB (Do Not Bill), or NC (No Charge).
RateThe billable hourly rate for this entry.
Overage RateThe rate applied when time exceeds the scheduled billable hours.
HoursTotal hours on the entry.
WIP AmtWork-in-progress dollar amount.
Inv HoursHours that will appear on the invoice.
Inv AmtInvoice amount calculated from Inv Hours × Rate.
LocationWhere the work occurred. Right-click to change if no agreement is attached.
DepartmentThe department of the member who logged the entry. Right-click to change if no agreement is attached.
Ticket #The ticket number associated with this time entry.
Ticket StatusCurrent status of the associated ticket.
AgreementThe agreement linked to the service ticket.
Work RoleThe member’s work role, which affects billing rates.
Work TypeThe member’s work type, which also affects billing rates.
Site NameThe site associated with the time entry.
Ticket SummaryThe ticket description from which the time was logged.
Time RecIdInternal record ID for the time entry.
Agreement TypeThe type of the agreement associated with the ticket.
