Update Billing Rates in ConnectWise PSA
When you change billing rates in ConnectWise Manage, existing time entries keep their original rates. Use the Update Billing Rates action to push the new rates onto those entries without re-entering them.
Note: This only updates time entries. Billing rate definitions live in Work Role and Work Type setup tables — update those first before running this action.
Update billing rates on time entries
- Go to Finance > Invoicing and search for the company whose time entries you want to update.
- In the Time tab, select the time entry or entries you want to update.
- Select Actions > Update Billing Rates.
- In the Update Billing Rates dialog, select Yes.
ConnectWise applies the current rates from the matching Work Role (and any Work Type multiplier or minimum) to the selected entries.
