Previewing Reports in ConnectWise Report Writer

The Preview tab shows you how a report will render in the report viewer before you publish it. Use it to check the visual output of any setting change without committing to a save.

How to use the Preview tab

1. In Report Writer, open the report you want to check.
2. Go to the Preview tab.
3. Review the rendered output — this is exactly what users will see in the report viewer.
4. To adjust the report, go back to any earlier tab, make your changes, then return to Preview to see the updated output.

There is no limit to how many times you can iterate between tabs and preview. Changes only apply when you save the report.
