Add a Report Writer Report to All Reports in ConnectWise
After a member is granted security access to Report Writer, any report you register in the Custom Reports setup table becomes available under System > All Reports. Without that security access, the member won’t see the report even after you’ve registered it.
Register the report
- Go to System > Report Writer and open the report you want to add.
- Select Send report. An Outlook window opens with the report URL in the message body.
- Copy the report URL, then close the Outlook window.
- Go to System > Setup Tables > Custom Reports.
- Select + Add Custom Report.
- In the Report Name field, enter a name for the report.
- In the Link to Report field, paste the URL you copied in step 3.
- In the Module drop-down, select the module most closely related to this report.
- In the Description field, enter a brief description.
- Select Save.
The report is now listed under System > All Reports.
Note: Members won’t see the report in All Reports unless they have security access to Report Writer. Grant access in System > Members > [Member] > Security before directing anyone to the report.
