Summary Section in ConnectWise Report Writer
Summary tab
The Summary tab lets you build a table that aggregates your chosen fields using functions. It works almost identically to the Fields tab — the same actions and properties apply — with two differences:
- Quick Add and Pivot are not available in the Summary tab.
- Add Deltas is available only in the Summary tab.

Group fields
To group rows by a field value, set that field’s Function dropdown to Group. Rows with the same value collapse into a single summary row.
Deltas
A delta is the difference between two consecutive values in a sorted result set: the later value minus the earlier value. Select the Add Deltas checkbox to add a delta column alongside any numeric field in your summary.
Use deltas when you want to show change over time — for example, how much open ticket count shifted from one period to the next.
