Time Tab in ConnectWise Invoice Search
The Time tab in Invoice Search lists all time records attached to an invoice. It’s available on standard invoices and progress invoices only.
Toolbar actions
- Detach — removes the selected time entry or entries from the invoice.
- Expanded View — expands all rows to show full time entry details.
- Actions > Update Agreement — reassigns the selected entries to a different agreement.
- Update Billing Rates — recalculates rates on the selected entries based on current work role and work type settings.
Columns
| Column | What it shows |

| Resource | Member name. Select the link to open the full time entry. |
| Date | Date the time entry was created. |
| Bill | Billable type: B (Billable), NB (Do Not Bill), NC (No Charge). |
| WIP Hrs | Hours logged on the time entry. |
| Inv Hrs | Hours that will be invoiced. Pulls from the Invoice Hours field on the time entry. |
| Rate | Hourly rate based on work role and work type. |
| Inv Amt | Amount to be invoiced. Calculated as Inv Hrs × Rate. |
| Status | Status of the time entry. |
| Ticket # | Associated service ticket number. |
| SR Status | Status of the service ticket. |
| Location | Location selected on the time entry. |
| Department | Department selected on the time entry. |
| Work Role | Member’s work role. |
| Work Type | Member’s work type. |
| Agreement | Agreement linked to the time entry. |
| Overage Rate | Overage rate set on the work type. |
| App Hours Info | Details explaining why the time was applied to the agreement. |
| Time RecId | Legacy field, hidden by default. |
Write off a time record
Note: If the invoice has already been pushed to your accounting package, you cannot write off time. Create a credit memo instead.
- Go to Finance > Invoice Search.
- Select the invoice that contains the time entry.
- Select the Time tab.
- Select the Resource link for the entry you want to write off.
- Select Write Off.
- In the Write Off Record dialog, select YES.
Reverse a write-off
Note: If the invoice has been pushed to your accounting package, you cannot reverse a write-off. Create a credit memo instead.
- Go to Finance > Invoice Search.
- Select the invoice that contains the written-off entry.
- Select the Time tab.
- Select the Resource link for the entry.
- Select Unwrite Off.
- In the Unwrite Off Record dialog, select YES.
- If the entry was originally set to Do Not Bill, update the Billable status as needed.
If the entry was originally billable, it will reappear in the Invoice Wizard.
