See every time entry on a ConnectWise invoice, detach or update entries, and write off or reverse time records directly from Invoice Search.

Time Tab in ConnectWise Invoice Search

The Time tab in Invoice Search lists all time records attached to an invoice. It’s available on standard invoices and progress invoices only.

Columns

ResourceMember name. Select the link to open the full time entry.
DateDate the time entry was created.
BillBillable type: B (Billable), NB (Do Not Bill), NC (No Charge).
WIP HrsHours logged on the time entry.
Inv HrsHours that will be invoiced. Pulls from the Invoice Hours field on the time entry.
RateHourly rate based on work role and work type.
Inv AmtAmount to be invoiced. Calculated as Inv Hrs × Rate.
StatusStatus of the time entry.
Ticket #Associated service ticket number.
SR StatusStatus of the service ticket.
LocationLocation selected on the time entry.
DepartmentDepartment selected on the time entry.
Work RoleMember’s work role.
Work TypeMember’s work type.
AgreementAgreement linked to the time entry.
Overage RateOverage rate set on the work type.
App Hours InfoDetails explaining why the time was applied to the agreement.
Time RecIdLegacy field, hidden by default.

Write off a time record

Note: If the invoice has already been pushed to your accounting package, you cannot write off time. Create a credit memo instead.

  1. Go to Finance > Invoice Search.
  2. Select the invoice that contains the time entry.
  3. Select the Time tab.
  4. Select the Resource link for the entry you want to write off.
  5. Select Write Off.
  6. In the Write Off Record dialog, select YES.

Reverse a write-off

Note: If the invoice has been pushed to your accounting package, you cannot reverse a write-off. Create a credit memo instead.

  1. Go to Finance > Invoice Search.
  2. Select the invoice that contains the written-off entry.
  3. Select the Time tab.
  4. Select the Resource link for the entry.
  5. Select Unwrite Off.
  6. In the Unwrite Off Record dialog, select YES.
  7. If the entry was originally set to Do Not Bill, update the Billable status as needed.

If the entry was originally billable, it will reappear in the Invoice Wizard.
