ConnectWise Hosting Agreement

How to set up a Hosting Agreement in ConnectWise Manage to bill clients a recurring flat-rate invoice for hosting, cloud, or web services.

Hosting Agreement

A Hosting Agreement is one of the five ConnectWise agreement types. It bills a company a recurring flat-rate invoice for services such as email, server, web, or cloud hosting — with no time, products, or expenses tracked against it.

Before you start

Create a Hosting Agreement Type in the Agreement Type Setup Table. When configuring the type, leave Application Units and Application Limit blank — no time, products, or expenses apply to hosting agreements.

Create a Hosting Agreement

  1. Go to Agreements > Agreement Maintenance, or open the Agreements tab on the client’s company record. Creating the agreement from the company record pre-populates the company information.
  2. Select New.
  3. On the Agreement tab, set the Agreement Type to your hosting agreement type.
  4. Leave the Application Units and Application Limit fields blank.
  5. Set the billing cycle, start date, and recurring amount.
  6. Select Save.

Note: Because a Hosting Agreement carries no time, product, or expense tracking, any team member who accidentally logs against it won’t see a validation error — the entries simply won’t appear on the invoice. Verify your agreement type configuration before going live.
