ConnectWise Reference

Agreements

Reference docs for ConnectWise Manage agreements — types, tabs, invoicing, prorating, and recurring revenue setup for MSPs.

ConnectWise Manage agreements are the backbone of MSP recurring revenue. They let you define the terms of a client relationship — what services are covered, at what price, over what time period — and tie that directly to billing. Every managed service contract, block of hours, or equipment rental you sell lives here. Set them up right and billing runs automatically; set them up wrong and you're chasing corrections at month-end.

The reference docs in this section cover three phases. First, setup: what agreement types exist, how to search and filter the agreement list, and what each tab on the agreement record controls. Second, execution: how additions work, how work roles and types are scoped, and how time, expenses, and products flow through an agreement. Third, billing: how ConnectWise invoices agreements, how prorating works, how to handle sales tax, and how to read profitability.

This reference is for MSP owners, operations leads, and anyone configuring the finance or PSA side of ConnectWise Manage. If you're trying to understand why an agreement billed the wrong amount, or building out a new agreement type for the first time, start with the Overview docs and drill into the specific tab or action you need.
