User Based Agreement

Charge clients per user instead of per device. Learn how User Based Agreements work in ConnectWise Manage and how UserCentric keeps them in sync.

User Based Agreement

A User Based Agreement is one of the five ConnectWise agreement types. It lets you bill clients based on the number of users you support — not the number of devices. Whether a user works on one machine or five, on-site or remote, one agreement covers them.

Add and update users

When a client hires someone, update the Agreement Additions to include the new user and their devices.

If your client’s company uses Active Directory, you can sync contacts automatically using UserCentric. UserCentric reads the directory and keeps your agreement additions current without manual updates.

Note: Before you can create a billing profile in UserCentric or sync contacts from Active Directory, you must create an Agreement Type first.

Bill multiple groups within one company

UserCentric supports billing profiles, which let you run multiple User Based Agreements under the same company — one for the sales team, another for executives, and so on. Each billing profile specifies which services apply to that subgroup.
